LEAPS has been shortlisted for Best Health and Safety Project at The Safety and Health Excellence Awards 2023.
“The Awards celebrate innovation and achievements in health and safety.
The ceremony will encompass the long-established British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) Awards that promote the importance of innovation and underline the highest standards of excellence within occupational safety and health.”
Hosted at The Vox and the NEC in Birmingham, Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly will be hosting the evening and there will be a comedy set from Alasdair Beckett-King.
The main aim is to provide an effective, different and mutually beneficial approach to improve safety management in the wider leisure industry to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries. Raising safety standards across the wider world of leisure was also an aspiration. LEAPS was designed from the outset to be broad enough to incorporate everything from bicycle hire to multi-car roller coasters in theme parks.
Most importantly perhaps is the intention to increase confidence for the public that when they enter a LEAPS-certified site, no matter where it is, both they and their children will be in a space and using equipment that has been properly tested and is being run by competent people so it is as safe as possible.
We’re extremely pleased to have been recognised by such prestigious awards.
